Ireland

We have only been in Ireland for a few days now, and will be here for a bit longer, but we have still done plenty of noteworthy activities. On the first day we arrived quite late so we only had dinner, but starting from the second day, it became very eventful:

DAY 2

That day, we visited the Guinness factory and museum, and despite the fact it was a product that I wasn’t eligible to have, was quite interesting, with lots of information on its history, ingredients, and even its advertising!

DAY… I CAN’T EVEN KEEP TRACK ANYMORE!

Even if it seems like a quarter of the population smokes, there are many benefits to Ireland; many of the places if visited have had live music- Irish music too

If it were Australia, it would not likely be. The food has been very good too.

The first few days were quite cold; like, 5 degrees, but all of a sudden we’re getting nearly 20 degree days and I am definitely appreciating it.

Lately we have seen numerous castles and have just left from visiting several cousins and friends. One of which recently visited us in Australia. I was quite relieved to hear that Irish people do indeed celebrate Easter, and look forward to plenty of chocolate.

Most recently in Ireland, we stayed in Belfast, in the titanic hotel, in fact, right opposite the museum where we spent the good part of the day.

This featured several unexpected attractions including a ride and a cinema showing the wreak.

Yesterday, we went on a walk along some very steep cliffs that I do not fancy being within a metre of. In fact, several people have fallen off recently and I do not care to join them…

Anyways, I’m started to get interested in the status of the website/blog and would appreciate it if people commented or liked on what to improve and stuff…

Some cold places…

Be prepared for as many blog posts as I can remember- I am currently holidaying (?) for six months and will, if I remember, be posting regular posts about this.

We started off with a couple nice, simple flights; one from Brisbane to Perth, and then from Perth, all the way, in one flight to London (17 hours)

LONDON

DAY 1

We chose that day, after a 9 hour time zone change, to visit Buckingham palace.

If you’re expecting photos, don’t get your hopes up

Not like we didn’t try

-There were just thousands of people there…

Day 2

We met up with a few friends that day, and went to the science museum, that involved lots of information about stuff I have forgotten mostly about now…

I do recommend it though, even if their attempt at replicating a shuttle was pitiful…

DAY 3

If you want torture chambers, more torture chambers, and stories about torture chambers, I would highly recommend the Tower of London.

Ok, maybe it wasn’t that torture based, but there were certainly many references to the gruesome details of that time…

England sure does good castles though.

DAY 4

AND 5

AND 6…

These three days, we headed further from London and out in to the country, to see some more friends.

We spent a few days there and didn’t really go out that much, mostly just stayed at home and played with their kids, soccer and this pinball game.
