Hiroshima

In the place where an atomic bomb hit(Hiroshima ) we went to the exact spot the bomb landed and visited the museum, learning that the bomb’s radius was about five km! Enough to destroy the entire city! We saw the “thousand paper cranes memorial”where a girl named Sadako was hit by radiation from the bomb and was told that if she made one thousand paper cranes she would survive (it didn’t happen). We also went on a ferry to an island, where we saw a Torii, which is a red arch in the middle of the river, and we saw lots and lots of deer ( some liked to follow people, some liked to chew on clothing and some liked to charge). We also saw the worlds biggest rice scoop!

Osaka

In Osaka we went to a castle that was really big with big doors, a big entrance (bridge) and a huge everything else!             The next day we went to an aquarium and saw lots of strange fish!(By the way, the fluffy brown ball in the sixth photo is actually a penguin!)

Vietnam

In Vietnam we visited the grave of my Grandpa and I decorated the very fancy grave with fancy flowers. We also visited a few of my Uncles and Aunts: Uncle Tung, Uncle Hong Lin, Uncle Thanh, Uncle Kohn, Aunty Phuong, Aunty Be, Aunty Lan, Aunty Le and Van.Also we went to a Vietnamese school, the Haven which is a school founded by my Grandpa for poor academically talented grade 7-12 kids to go to.Our family and friends fund the school and pay for all the students to go to the school.

Malaysia

In Malaysia, we went to the Petrosiens science museum where we did lots of super fun stuff! First,  to get in we went on this super slow train thingy ride where we sat in a black ball with a window at the front and door at the side. It brought us along some tracks with holographic images projecting on the side  explaining to us about science, then it brought us to a station where we hopped off and started touring the museum! First there was a wind tube and it blew wind at up to 120kph(it was showing us the wind levels of Jupiter)! Then, we did some robot tennis where you controlled a robot, picked up rubber balls and then put  in the other players court (my favourite)! Then we did robot soccer (another personal favourite) where you hit a rubber ball into a goal. Then we went to another section where I got to hold a fireball!  At the end I used a robotic digger and won the contest of who could pick up the most gravel. After the museum, we went to a food court and I finished my chicken rice in about one minute flat! After that we went to one of my cousins house and had a race with some car things! At the end, we saw the Twin towers, which used to be the tallest buildings in the world!!!!

Singapore

On the way back to Australia we went to Singapore and saw our Phillipino Tita and then we went to an AWSOME waterpark with two big slides, five massive tubing slides, a course with a rope(you needed to jump into the warm water,  swim to a rope tyed to a tree and climb it then ring a bell at the top) two balancing planks, one with handrails one without, two very high diving boards, a net and a tightrope! There was a lazy river surrounding the area which you could swim around or go in tubes. I swam. There were two parts with very slippery glass at the bottom, one part where there was a roof made of glass which showed lots of bright fish. One part there was a glass wall that showed stingrays and grey fish. There was also a little beach that made giant waves from machines. There was finally a playgroundish part that had a giant bucket that poured water on top of everyone !

Vis

I got towed in a tube at the back of Beluga’s tender, then we went to a submarine tunnel with 4 tunnels leading somewhere. Three of them were blocked off  so we took the last, which led outside.

Hvar and Scradin

In Hvar we walked up to a castle with a prison which taught me about Stellic mites and Stellic tights. The town was cute.

In Scradin we saw waterfalls with such a strong current that they had to put a net  to prevent anyone from going too close. We did a small walk around the waterfall before we started swimming on the other side of the net.
